Are we going to have to start walking to our destinations?

Many of us depend on our cars to get us to work, school, and anywhere else our busy lives takes us but with the extraordinary high gas prices, we have to think about alternative ways to get around town and find different resources to help us pay for the extra cost of gasoline. Some of us don’t have a choice but to pay more for gas even though we can’t afford it.

There are several things you can do to keep more money in your pocket including car pooling with family and friends to school or work, telecommuting, taking public transportation, and doing all your errands at one time, in one day so you don’t waste gas during the week;  If you don’t live too far from your destination you can walk or ride your bike which will help you to get in better shape.

When you go to the grocery store make a list, use coupons, and get everything that you need in one trip so you don’t burn gas going back to the store for something you forgot.

Sign up for gas rewards programs if your local grocery store offers them, you can save ten cents or more per gallon when you fill your gas tank up.

If you need extra money you can work overtime, get a part time job, or you can make a few dollars taking online surveys at home.

To save money on entertainment find things that are cheap and free to do in you city where you don’t have to drive to have fun, watch movies online at home, read free online books, and take a few free online courses, you can do all of this from home.
