Dream Big or Live Trying

Dream Big or Live Trying

What does it take to get from where you are in life right now, to where you want to be?

How do you get to be the next Oprah, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, or President of the United States?

What separates the average from the great?

These are just a few thoughts going through the minds of many people, trying to figure out what to do with the next chapter of their lives.

With the economy taking another turn for the worse, unemployment up to 9.1% and the fear of a double dip recession; how do we motivate ourselves to keep on going when times are so tough?

With so much economic misfortune being thrown at us, it’s almost impossible to dream big; especially when we are trying to do the best we can with what little we have financially.

So, how do we get out of this economic rat race that is sucking our spirits dry, and start dreaming big like we did when we were kids and had no responsibilities?

It’s OK to be upset with your financial situation, especially if it’s through no fault of your own. Maybe you lost your job, and because of that your home was foreclosed; this alone can kill anyone’s dream.

Remember the old saying, “It’s not the cards that you are dealt; It’s how you play them”.

Now is the time to reinvent your life as you know it, and start to dream big again!

  • First, find your dream and start working on it.

  • If you want to start your own business, go to the library or the bookstore and read as many books as you can about “How to Start a Business”.

  • If you want to be a filmmaker, network with people in your community who also shares your passion, and put all of your talents together to create a film.

  • If you are unemployed, volunteer in a field that you see yourself doing for the rest of your life. Let people know who you are, and what you can do, and show off your skills, you never know who you will meet and how they can help you achieve your dreams.

  • Believe in yourself; believe in your dreams. It doesn’t matter how big or small your dream is; no one can ever take your dream away but you, so don’t let doubt, fear, or something unexpected keep you from your dreams.

  • You’ve got to be in it to win it, if your dream involves risk, and opportunity, take it; don’t be afraid of failure because some of the best lessons learned in life is when you fail.

  • If you fall down on the road to your dream, just get back up and move forward towards that dream.

  • You are never too old, or too young to implement your dream, so if you’ve always wanted to write a book, what’s stopping you? Get your pen and paper out and start writing.

  • Attempt to do something that you’ve always wanted to do, but were afraid to try, because you thought it was too big of a dream to come true.

The power of your subconscious mind can take you to great places or keep you from going anywhere, so just follow your heart and somehow your dreams will show up.

Think about it, would we know about Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, or Barack Obama, if they didn’t follow their dreams?

Dream Big or Try Living and maybe one day your dreams will come true.
