The Side Job

part time job|Savings Scoop

Even though you are working full time you are still not making ends meet financially; it seems like the money you make is gone even before you get paid. So what can you do to bring in some extra cash every month?

Why don’t you start a side business from a hobby or something that you are passionate about? You might as well make extra money from something that you enjoy doing.

If you like kids, then try setting up a babysitting service for evenings and weekends; or create birthday theme parties where you plan everything and all the parents have to do is show up with the kids.

Consider becoming a Dee Jay,  if at every party friends and family are begging you to bring your music to play. Buy inexpensive DJ equipment

If you are the one always planning trip itineraries online for family and friends, then see if you can get certification as a travel agent.

If you can write, then create a blog and teach something you might be an expert at like bowling. You could write about bowling shoes, bowling alleys, etc.

Treat your side job as a serious business; make sure you invest in business cards, post fliers, create a web page, and advertise your skills. Tell everyone you know what you are doing so they can spread the word. Create a coupon for people using your services for the first time.

You never know maybe one day your side job just might end up being your main job!
