Tip of the Day, Phantom Power Sucks Money Out of Your Pocket

Tip of the Day, Phantom Power Sucks Money Out of Your Pocket

Did you know that even though you computer and certain household appliances are turned off you still pay more money on your energy bill?

These items still draw power even when turned off because they are still plugged into an electrical socket, which creates the extra energy that sucks money out of your pocket.

An example of this is when you turn off your computer, you still see the lights on your monitor or other devices attached to the computer.

To combat phantom power, unplug all electronics and appliances when you are not using them, it might be a pain to unplug everything each time you use it so consider using a power strip so you can turn everything off at one time.

When you buy appliances or electronics make sure they have the energy star label because, it uses less energy, which helps you to save more money.
